Staff requirements

The role of shelter staff are inclusive to mitigating and responding to program participants' medical needs and responding to violations of shelter policy to include processing the exit of participants either who graduate on to other services that further meet their needs or who exit the program due to policy violation.

As there are significant job listings for what are called resource attendants and shelter managers in the Portland area these duties are detailed throughout major job boards outlining the nature of the work with special consideration for exposure to people who might be under the influence or require advanced medical attention as they enter into the program.

It's ubiquitous to the nature of this work. Resource attendants as they are called in Oregon typically follow facility safety policies and monitor all CCTV present in the facility as night staff or even in day staff roles.
