Pursue an ongoing effort to increase transparency and accountability in Oregon's government by
providing the public with detailed, quarterly reports on public agency corruption and proposing actionable solutions.


An Address to Public Need

  Lack of readily accessible information: 

While instances of corruption are often reported in the news, there's no centralized, easily accessible source summarizing these incidents and their impact.

 

 Erosion of public trust:  

Perceived or actual corruption erodes public trust in government institutions. This can lead to disengagement and decreased participation in civic processes.


  Need for systemic change:

 Identifying patterns of corruption allows for proposing systemic solutions and advocating for reforms.



Products & Services:

  Quarterly Publications: In-depth reports detailing instances of corruption within Oregon's public agencies, including:

    Investigative summaries of alleged corruption.

    Analysis of the impact of corruption on public services and resources.

    Proposed solutions and reforms.

    Updates on the status of previous cases and implemented reforms.

  

Online Platform: A website and social media presence to:

    Disseminate reports and updates.

    Foster community discussion and engagement.

    Provide resources for whistleblowers and concerned citizens.


  Advocacy and Education:

    Collaborate with other organizations to push for legislative and policy changes.

    Conduct public education campaigns to raise awareness about corruption and its impact.




Key Milestones:

Phase 1: Foundation (Months 1-3)

  Month 1:

    Secure initial funding (grants, crowdfunding, individual donors).

    Establish legal entity (non-profit or social enterprise).

    Build core team (investigative journalists, legal experts, data analysts, web developers).

    Develop branding and online presence (website, social media).

  Month 2:

    Establish partnerships with relevant organizations (media outlets, watchdog groups, academic institutions).

    Develop data collection and analysis methodology.

    Begin initial investigations and case studies.

  Month 3:

    Publish the first quarterly report online and in print.

    Launch public awareness campaign.


Phase 2: Growth & Impact (Months 4-12)

  Month 4-12:

    Continue publishing quarterly reports, expanding scope and depth of investigations.

    Increase online engagement and community building.

    Track the impact of reports (media coverage, policy changes, public discourse).

    Secure sustainable funding sources (membership program, subscriptions, events).

    Advocate for legislative and policy reforms based on findings.


Phase 3: Sustainability & Expansion (Year 2 onwards)

  Year 2 onwards:

    Expand the team and resources to increase capacity.

    Develop specialized reports focusing on specific sectors (education, healthcare, etc.).

    Explore partnerships with national organizations to share best practices and amplify impact.

    Establish a long-term sustainability plan to ensure continued operation and impact.

Online Documentation

Management and Maintenance of an online presence via social media and several web domains. A Channel via Youtube and other online bulletins outlining interests and feature media content pertaining to the mission of the program or The Very Pro Group



Section 3

Volunteers

As necessary the program lead or a mamber of The Very Pro Group will manage and direct volunteers to aid with the production and publication of content and materials. Volunteers who make significant contributions toward our efforts to provide unbiased and accurate journaism in regards to the mission of  The Very Pro Group will be considered for paid memberships.

Editors notes will be published with credits to volunteers and staff who contributed.
